Hi _anicca_, as far as food and weight and all that.. My dad is very overweight, but he was told not to worry about eating less, or how much he's eating, or any of that. Just to concentrate on eating healthy , and being healthy(exercise/limiting alcohol and all that). So that's what he does now and ...

Well I've been doing meditation off and on since about 1988.. then in the mid 2000's(around 2005) I read "Being Peace" and "Peace is Every Step" by Thich Nhat Hanh and really connected with those books. Oh, and I've been a vegetarian since 2001.

Hello MAXUK, welcome back! I definitely agree with others here that based on your post you're clearly not stupid. Daily Buddhist meditation helps me a ton in my own life and I know it would help you as well, just need to find a good teacher.
