Re: Catfight
If you put both pictures together with Anabel's cat on the left it looks like she is hurling abuse at him and he is flattened by the power of her invective! Both lovely cats though - Maximus looks like my old TT - big ginger bruiser who did night shifts as babysitter for the kittens of wild mother c...

Re: My wife is now taking my practice seriously... hurrah!
Yes, Zavk, that crossed my mind too - but seeing as my husband wears the Moon Pent I bought him years ago all the time (and yes, that could be because it was a pressie from me) and he joins in my celebrations ....... maybe he is a closet Pagan tentatively opening the door and peeping out. Whatever, ...

Re: Importance of Pilgrimage
I agree - while going to a place may be an experience, staying home and having a thoroughly enriching experience in your own practice could be of more benefit.

Re: My wife is now taking my practice seriously... hurrah!
Well congratulations - I know how you feel - the Old Feller and I have been together for 14 years now and he has always wanted to distance himself from my beliefs. However ............ when the Jehovah's turned up the other day, he very pleasantly told them that this is a Pagan household and so we w...

Rock on Mike! I use crochet or knitting as a meditation aid ...... when it is a pattern you don't have to think about it frees the mind beautifully.

Re: Past lives
Yes, I suppose if someone has a fascination with a particular country or period of history with which they don't appear to have any connection, then it may be some shadow of a past life coming up ....... good point

Re: I just found out were getting laid off in two months
You wouldn't be the first ones to pole up on our doorstep needing housing ... the last one stayed 18 months and we sorted him out, got him back on his feet and sent him home again ... a few pounds heavier because of the home cooking but happier and more stable. Nobody is ever out on their ear while ...

Re: I just found out were getting laid off in two months
Ah no - heck - I got called into the boss's office two weeks before Christmas and told that the business was closing down, we could continue with another employer but we had to go self-employed (with all the risks that involves) and we had only a week to decide ... and find out all the info we neede...

Re: Past lives
There was a fad back in the 80s or 90s ... (there you go, memory of this life gone already) where people got hypnotised to remember their past lives .... I thought then and I still think it .. rubbish. If we could remember our past lives there would be no point in working through this life - we woul...

Re: I just found out were getting laid off in two months
May be impermanent but feels bloody rotten at the time - I have been there.
I will be thinking of you and you will be in my prayers (well, call it lighting a candle and thinking of you all) .... postives coming over in massive waves dear friend.

Re: E-Sangha
I'm sure that ESangha provides a useful and necessary forum for discussion ... well, before this one was created - I just got utterly and totally fed up with the pervs that joined purely to air their obssessions and then tried to argue from a Dhamma point of view when someone asked them politely to ...
