Okay so here is one from just about two weeks ago -- she is 6 months in the photo! I will upload some more in a few minutes, since I apparently didn't have many photos on this computer! LOL

Thank you! For my protein I soak nuts and seeds prior to eating/making yogurts with them! I also drink Shakeology (http://www.shakeology.com/fitnessremix" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) as it contains a whole combination of amazing foods! I feel absolutely radiant and energ...

Re-introducing myself!
Hey everyone, I'm back! :) I had my baby (4th - 2nd girl!) on April 29th, 2010 and I did do it without any assistance/medications/or even my vitals being taken! LOL Crazy birth story that's for sure, but I am thrilled with it! Jasmine Nichole was born at 1:12pm weight 8lbs 2oz and 20.5" long! S...

I did it!
I started eating really healthy right after my 4th baby in April, 2010. At the 6 month mark post partum I'd lost 65lbs! I did P90X and started running 10 weeks post delivery. But now I've taken it to the next level!! I've gone raw/vegan! I'm loving it! This is just my third day now, but I already lo...

Re: Good Fats!
I am aware that some fats are good for you. But for the sake of my sanity (in other words, trying to research this with two toddlers in the house! LOL) let's hear what you've got!

Re: Don't do this...
While I am certain there are 'baseline' rules/guidelines for human nutrition, don't forget that each person may have different needs or requirements. Not all women are pregnant, not all people have heart conditions or diabetes, and so on. So basically it should be encouraged that every person resear...

Re: Meditating before or after workout?
JC: That makes a lot of sense....now if someone could please inform my 3yr old and 1.5yr of this 'slow waking' idea, that would be great! LOL They are up at 6am and off with a running start that lasts until after lunch time! *sigh* maybe I can use blackout shades to trick them into thinking it's sti...

Re: Don't do this...
I don't know about the rest of you here, but for me since learning and being mindful in applying the Middle Path, I have actually found myself not over eating, or eating junk. Mainly because I'm seeing it as cravings, that cause suffering...the result? I'm now in my 8th month of pregnancy and have o...

Meditating before or after workout?
Do you meditate before or after your workout? So far I have been meditating before doing my workouts--my thinking is that it will help me to be more mindful during the exercises, rather than having random thoughts distract me the whole time. This has been really helpful thus far, but I'm curious as ...

Re: Hiri Sutta
While I am sure an initial reaction is to think of others outside of ourselves in who is and is not a true friend, I find that this is a better example in which to measure ourselves by. Let us be reminded of these qualities when analyzing those around us as friends or foes. One must first BE a true ...

Re: Poll: Are you vegetarian/vegan?
http://www.sinc.sunysb.edu/Clubs/buddhism/dhammananda/215.htm I thought this gave great insight to the topic. Maybe it will help those who are feeling conflicted in their decisions... Hope it helps someone--I know it clarified a lot for me. I will still be trying to go meatless 3-4 nights a week (w...

Re: A Fresh Start
Just as an update to my 1st lesson in the workbook: It explains a lot of what you are asking about. But in the end you just need to pick a book (if, like me, a 'live' teacher isn't available) and set your focus on that one thing. After investing time in it if you seek further knowledge, go to the ne...

Re: A Fresh Start
I don't know if this will help, but I found a suggested book here, Insight Meditation a Step-by-Step Guide, and it's a home study course/workbook. While I just got it today in the mail, it comes with the workbook (very easy to follow and understand), two meditation CDs (along with a booklet on how b...
