no-self has to be directly experienced in all aggregates in the light of Dependent origination which means
that things arise *impersonally and conditionally*...the aggregates which make up a conventional self
are as impersonal as the wave in a sea or a rock.

Re: What's wrong with living a "normal" life?
Nothing wrong but we dont need anyone to tell us a simple truth - Greater the attachment , greater the sorrow. If you are not attached , you can enjoy a great 'normal' life. "There is no greater sorrow than seperation There is no greater joy than freedom" Also , no matter what I do and how...

Re: Methodical scanning vs Noting what arises
Thank you PeterB. I have heard this kind of noting practice in Goenka's audio discourse and then decided to try it. Very soon I'll be taking a 10 day retreat in Goenka's style and thats why I asked these questions. Also , any idea how perceptions ( vinanna aggregate ) will appear impermanent with th...

Arhants thoughts and actions
Hi I was wondering about these questions as I feel it may help me in understanding certain things better. 1. What are an Arhants thoughts normally when he is not doing anything ? 2.
