Re: ZFI

An excercise in vigorous patience all round I guess. Hehe, I'm sure most of the members are utilizing this time as an opportunity for more zazen. We took the opportunity to drive down the mountain to the Home Depot Garden Shop today. This was our first trip down into town since last fall, and was v...

Re: ZFI

The site is currently up, as of 11pm PST Friday. As of yet, it's hard to know if the problem has been fixed, since we did get a window last night too before it went back down. If folks keep getting that Admin message via email, it likely means the site will crash again, so we'll see. Thanks to all ...

Re: ZFI

The webmaster techie here at Dhamma Wheel (aka, my son) is looking into it too. He will be back on line later this evening to check it out and offer assistance. Thanks to both of you -- we're still down as of 4 PM PST Friday. The coordinator of our efforts is Gregory Wonderwheel. If your son would ...

Re: ZFI

Yeah, I've gotten six of that email, so far. It looks like the mass email is being put back in the queue every time they start the web server. I'd say they need to disable the outgoing mail before restarting the forum software. :) Yeah, but we can't get back in yet to do that -- Hosticon (The Serve...

Re: Zen Forum International: Coming soon!

Hi all! Yes, we are still working out some tech details and so forth, but hope to have things in order for an official opening later this coming week. Thanks to everyone for their support and suggestions, we think of Dhamma Wheel as a sister forum, and especially appreciate the help of Retro in poin...

Yes, and the wonderful thing about the correlations in the teachings is that they can ring true on so many levels and in so many ways.

Well, I edited that post to make reference to my family situation. ...If we keep these emotions and thoughts bottle up they just keep spinning and spinning, imo. Especially when people are in a group situation. That's just my take anyway... Yes, certainly, while also establishing "right conduc...

Re: E-Sangha

it seems we humans frequently need the freedom to air our discontent first, emptying our minds then of the storms that were spinning within before we can stop complaining.. Well, how's that strategy generally working out for you? Is anything emptied? If we notice the mechanics of mind in the proces...

I never got a "Warn" anything and absolutely never wanted to. I can't be in an area with heavily armed police without devoting a significant portion of my awareness to where "they" are and what "they" are doing despite the fact that I am an absolutely law-abiding perso...

Elevating or suppressing the one in order to eradicate the other is a fool's errand. I find a lot of resonance in this, from Nisargadatta Maharaj: "Just realize that you are dreaming a dream you call the world, and stop looking for ways out. The dream is not your problem. Your problem is that ...
