I've just heard that the former Phra Khantipalo, Laurence Mills has died earlier today in Australia.

Blue eyes in saffron robes - Wat Pah Nanachat (1979)
Quite a rare video of daily life in Wat Pah Nanachat in 1979, includes Ajahn Jayasaro interviewed while still a novice. Apologies but I don't know who originally made the video other than the RTE credit at the end.

Re: Make partner sexually happy in Buddhism
This happened when Aj Chah was alive. A school principal came to see Aj chah. His wife had a stroke and was paralysed. He visited a prostitute once a week and he asked aj chah whether he was breaking any precepts. Aj chah said no. It is easy to judge men or women who visits prostitutes/giggolo. How...

Re: Ajahn Chah Memorial week 2016
@ arpansharma1 I will be at WPN from the 10th/11th ~ 21st, look forward to perhaps meeting you there.
I think as you've been told the actual festival seems a little shorter this year at WPP, from 14th-16th, but it's always a tremendous event to be a part of.
With metta,
Matt

Re: Suttas For Someone Who Is Dying of Cancer
Not a sutta, but of possible interest is this talk by Ajahn Chah to a dying disciple: http://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/thai/chah/bl111.html Thank you. Would you possibly have it in Thai? I think this should work: http://www.ajahnchah.org/thai/Our_Real_Home.php" onclick="window.open(this...

Re: Good temples to stay at in Thailand as a lay guest
Thanks for the address :) Regarding shaving my head, I suppose you are right it will grow back... Do you know if this beautiful monastery accepts visitors who just show up on the day? ... It says on the WPN website they require guests longer than three days to shave their heads and eyebrows but I d...

Re: Good temples to stay at in Thailand as a lay guest
Robert - I believe you will be required to shave your head if you want to stay at one of the Ajahn Chah lineage monasteries here. Is there a reason you don't want to shave your head - it will grow back :) You could try the most recent branch Wat Anandagiri http://www.peacebeyondsuffering.org/ - and ...

Re: How about reverencing living arahants?
Namasakarn Tan Ajahn Subharo, and hope you are well in the holy life, you mention an important point in your reply: Don't get me wrong, I'm not against reverencing the Buddha , in whatever way the Buddha actually told us to . It's just that I do not particularly dig Hindu-style rituals which, when t...

Re: American Buddhist Monk living in Thailand Needs Help!
I haven't had any joy contacting Phra Nuntiyo (Glen Zorn) on twitter, despite following his account and then tweeting asking for an update (he has previously been quite active on twitter) My message to the venerable monk was: "Namasakarn @PhraNuntiyo , are you able to provide an update on your ...
