Re: Prayers for SATTVA

My thoughts are with you, sending a lot of Metta your way. It sounds like you have a lot of skilled experts and a lot of faithful friends ...

Re: Dealing with Islamic awakening intention
Those were violent times, but the Buddha and other ascetics _ buddhists and non-buddhists _ were non violent. There were people of good morality. If all religions in their basic essence are peaceful, why are the scriptures full of violence? The "all religions are peaceful" is a cliché rep...

Re: Dealing with Islamic awakening intention
Yes, there are violent passages in abrahamic religions and they should be denounced too, such as "a gay man who practices gay sex must be murdered", or such as "a son who realy, realy misbehaves must be stoned to death". All this violence must be denounced! Agreed, but i feel a ...

Re: The "Give Box"

Re: The "Give Box"
It is Düsseldorf, a very very very large city, the capital of NRW. We are civilised? Good to know!
I was surprised it worked here, very surprised. That was why i wanted to share, it could work in other places as populated as this one. It is making us feel more together, i love it!

The "Give Box"
I wasn't sure where exactly i should put this on the forum, so i thought this is the safest place, as it is not strictly dhamma related, although is a fantastic oportunity to give and generally be a lovely person. I wanted to tell you about a scheme that is run in my town. I live in a district of a ...

Re: Hello and a question
Hi welcome! I think Dhamma Wheel is a brilliant place to start. There are many forums broken up into different areas of interest and you should go directly to health and well being :) There are also lots and lots of references in the Introductory materials thread as well. This is found in the Discov...
