Pairing Metta to the breath?

Hello dhamma farers, I find then when I try to do metta, I can't help but pair each recitation (such as "may all beings be happy) with an in-breath and out breath. Is this bad? Is there anything written about this in the commentaries or in general meditation books about whether or not this is o...

Re: Walking meditation as foundation of formal practice?

As far as instruction goes, here are some articles from the Thai forest tradition (the only instructions I could easily find): Ajahn Mun: http://www.dhammatalks.net/Books/Ajahn_Mun_Walking_Meditation.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ajahn Buddhadasa: http://www.dhammatalk...

Antique stores could be good, though they might be a little more on the expensive side.

Re: best suttas to memorize? techniques?

when you guys are memorizing these suttas, are you memorizing both the pali and english, or just english? Or maybe just pali?

Metta Sutta and Reflections on Sharing Blessings are good ones. After you memorize satipatthana though :)

you may also want to avoid the week in January when WPN and WPP celebrate Ajahn chah remembrance day(/week). I believe there will be no availability for staying for guests that week.
