The reason people believe in a particular religion is because such a belief was conditioned into them at a very young age by parents, teachers, TV, etc. I recall being told repeatedly, "We are ******* and we believe in *****!" It wasn't like there was any option. Likewise those who can esc...

In June 2012, I asked the guest monk at WPN and he said just show up, except the busy time in January. However there are many inexpensive places to stay in Ubon and just get the big truck bus in the morning.

Congratulations LY !
I drank alcohol almost daily for 21 years before quitting cold turkey in April 2010, after a meditation retreat. Not a drop since.
Realized I just didn't need it anymore.
I can relate to your struggle and admire your courage.
