Replace the 5 pungent herbs

o hai

Anyone on here has any good suggestions on how to replace the 5 pungen herbs? Cause I am keen to try some of the vegetarian/vegan pie recipes out there, but they all seem to have garlic and onion. Anyone tried to cook veg pie recipes without those nasty things?

Re: Vajrayana

Upholding Mantras, by recitation with mouth, gesturing with hand Mudras, and visualising with the mind sounds quite legit and are not disupted by Buddhist masters. But some of the practices that involves sex and bodily fluids sounds pretty dodgy to me.

Buddhism doesn't have to be complicated, ya just have ta stick wid one GOOD teacher, one school, and study from da basics. You definetly gonna be confused if ya start looking at da theory of emptiness, mind only, and da deep theories first. Start off by building up ya faith on da triple gem, cause, ...

I don't know how many consciousness ya homeboys are learning within Theravada, but within the Yogacara school, they talk about 8 consciousness! the eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind consciousness, and da seventh Manas consciousness dat causes the attachement to da "self" and 8th Alaya con...

Judai, the 5 views dat always obstruct ordinary people are: 1. view that attaches to the body as real. 2. view that attaches to the extremes (such as the universe has a limit, or the universe that doesn't have a limit) 3. wrong views 4. view that attaches to the precepts 5. view that attaches to onc...

Re: Simple Diet please?

Does the "government" care about us? I know, obviously, certain government officials and some politicians do and some don't. As a whole, however, the question is moot. Does this mean that we shouldn't work? No. We should all work, if we can. I think we should all be very gratiful for da g...
