Some wise words I told this young lady

I have quite a lot of Thai people in my friend list, I try to converse with them as much as possible but it can be somewhat difficult as I can only speak English, French or Chinese. This woman messaged me "Not that it was Jesus or the Lord kill me." or "Do not know the Lord or kill it...

Seals are adorable.
I used to watch the movie Andre a lot as a kid.
I loved that movie, it was beautiful & heart warming.

Re: What is your favourite animal?

Forgot to mention, foxes are beautiful creatures.
I enjoy watching them walk around through woods.
They're actually very friendly, even if they do rammage through our rubbish!

My brother loves penguins (not sure I spelt it right). He owns a cat and a lizard.

Re: What is your favourite animal?

I don't own any, but I enjoy meeting cats. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O0KH0vckkXQ/TrP4haOYC9I/AAAAAAAADdE/JCettRUBpM4/s1600/nice+to+meet+you+catz.jpg :anjali:  lol I'm friends with my neighbourhood cats. What is your favourite animal?

I pretty much love all animals but my most favourite are cats.
Spiders & snakes scare me but I wouldn't hurt them.

What about you?

Re: To those who have ordained or plan to ordain

To those who hope to or are planning to ordain: What is currently holding you back from ordaining? Travel money, debt, I also need more practice. How long have you been practicing Buddhism? 3 years. How old are you (not really relevant, just curious)? 26. Do you have a particular place you would li...

Monks and shaving

This might sound gross but do monks/nuns also shave their underarms, pubic region and legs as well as head and eyebrows? I'm just curious. Would men have to shave their chests too?

Looks like I'm gonna make it after all

So my body was in pretty bad shape last time I posted here. Well, I'm gonna make it after all. Transplants & medicine. I'm gonna make it. As for the accomodation part. I'm still in a bedset but I'll be heading over to London soon, but I'm still saving up to visit some monasteries & temples a...

I'm awake or close

Whilst in hospital, I experienced something beyond. It's hard to describe but everything that made no sense to me is beginning to make sense. I've basically got into the similar state Siddhartha was. I was constantly thinking, none stop thinking. Then I meditated (I am practicing meditation and hopi...

Re: Foods for Anxiety

Well, I know my answers offend you or aren't very helpful but suffer from anxiety. I stay away from caffeine and take Kalm tablets. I also drink chamomile tea. Another mothed I used was the paper bag thing. Unfortunately, panic attacks can last a long while  but they do disappear eventually! :s...

Re: I'm giving up tobacco, permanently

My suggestion would be to go cold turkey as you'd still be feeding the habit but that's just my theory.

Motivation can distract you.
Replace 1 addiction with another like say sports, gym work, college, cooking, gardening, art etc.

No promises but I may have a chance

As explained, my organs are slowly failing and my health is slowly deteriating due to my depression and numerous self-harm attempts. I'm in hospital again, the doctors are going try and see if I can be stable from other methods but the chances are very low. If my kidneys & liver a little stable,...

Re: Passing Away

Are you sure it is terminal? Hopefully, the doctors can prescribe something to fix you back up. Hope you get well. :buddha1: Hi David, They've tried everything. I suffered from stomach ulcers and my thyroid hormones were all over the place. Due to the increase of self-harm attempts, my organs are s...
