Thanks for that, David. Your post has helped. In my six years practicing Buddhism (within a Mahayana school) I was never led to the understanding, via any teacher or community, that there was a "bodhisatta" in the Pali canon. So is the main difference between Theravada thought and Mahayana...

it depends on wha you enjoy, it is a mini-Scotland in many ways as my Gran used to say (she was Scotish), beautiful views etc, and if you like bikes there is no better place than here when the races are on.
