A friend and I were discussing whether it's correct to inflict violence upon someone if it benefits them in the long-run, and his argument was that the Buddha explicitly taught non-violence. In Maha Boowa's biography, Samana, he also talks in-detail about his enlightenment.. I've always been kind of confused about that point. Aren't bhikkhus prohibited from speaking of attainments?

Is this acceptable? I usually buy fresh flowers but they can get very expensive.. was also thinking about buy orchids but I am not so skilled with them..

As I understand it, Luangta Maha Boowa teaches that the citta or heart/mind is the only thing that moves from life to life. But is this not contradicting to the teaching of anatta that includes the mind? I'm a little confused with this point, if someone could clarify I would be very grateful. :namas...
