Re: Aynone knows of Unicode Pali font for mac?
Hi Kim, you can use "character palette" which is preinstalled. In system preferences -> country settings select the keyboard menu. There you can activate character palette (the third point on my machine [OS X 10.5]) and you can make this menu accessible via the menu bar by clicking the ver...

Re: Aynone knows of Unicode Pali font for mac?
Hi, please try to change your keyboardsettings (system preferences -> country settings) to "US extended" (its just one below US and is also marked with a little "U"). Now you should be able to write with diacritics: āūī alt+a, aui ñ alt+n, n ṣḍṭ alt+x, s d t ṁṅ alt+w, m n greetin...

Re: Questions about basic breath meditation
As pointed out in the article i have linked there are even more possebilities for understanding the term parimukhaṁ: Ānāpānasati, Piya Tan 2003, p 123: The Sanskrit has a different reading, pratimukha. This has many meanings, among which are "reflection" and "presence". Both of t...

Re: Questions about basic breath meditation
Here you can find a sutta discussion of the ānāpānasati sutta - scroll down to M 118 and download the pdf. Locate the section 2.4 for information on the term parimukhaṁ which causes the confusion - after that you have to decide by yourself how to put in into practice .

Hello,
since CSCD is only for MS Windows here is an platform independent alternative - the Digital Pali Reader (DPR). It is a browser related software (and it works ONLY with Firefox). Included is a dictionary as well - by simply clicking a word in the text you can look it up.

Majjhima Nikaya - a parallel TOC
Dear friends, hope this is right here... This is a table of contents of the Majjhima Nikāya. I need it for looking up quotes in articles, where often is only mentioned the volume and page number of the PTS version. This was intended for personal use - maybe it is useful for somebody. If you find err...
