Moïen alleguer!

Postby little_stone » Fri Feb 03, 2012 9:27 pm

Hello Everyone

First of all I have to apologize for my bad English but I'm doing my best and will continue to practise English....

I'm a 29 years old girl who is looking for a quiet place to practise Buddhism. I live in Luxemburg and I work as a secretary.
Since last year I decided to convert to buddhism and it's a amazing decision I made but since a few weeks I'm thinking to change many things in my life, like changing job, friends, house, habits, life etc...... I'm depressive for years, on treatment and therapy and now I got to a point of no return. On sick leave for two weeks and have discussed with my therapist I came to the conclusion that I need a new start. I don't know if it is possible to make a new start but I really wish to make that change with this forum.

big kisses

Welcome, little_stone,
You might find the Introductory Resources at http://www.dhammawheel.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=148 a good place to learn more about the Buddhist tradition.
Unfortunately, however, it doesn't seem to have many suggestions in languages other than English. Perhaps Buddhanet http://www.buddhanet.net/ has some in your own language?

Welcome little_stone!

The heart of the path is SO simple. No need for long explanations. Give up clinging to love and hate, just rest with things as they are. That is all I do in my own practice. Do not try to become anything. Do not make yourself into anything. Do not be a meditator. Do not become enlightened. When you sit, let it be. When you walk, let it be. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing. Of course, there are dozens of meditation techniques to develop samadhi and many kinds of vipassana. But it all comes back to this - just let it all be. Step over here where it is cool, out of the battle. - Ajahn Chah

If we just say it often enough, moin, moïen, mojn, mooi, moi (and similar forms) will soon become international. Good news!

Greetings Little Stone and welcome to Dhamma Wheel!
Practicing on the path only requires us to place one foot in front of the other.
An exhalation after an inhalation. One step at a time.
Wishing you well on the path of Dhamma
