Hi

Postby Stu » Fri Aug 09, 2013 3:52 am

Hi all,

Long-time reader/lurker ... :reading: :spy:

... first-time poster.

Thought it was time I finally "came out into the open" and said hi. :)

I first discovered the Dhamma about 15 years ago, but recently I've felt it's time to deepen my practice and understanding. So becoming part of the community at Dhamma Wheel seems like the right thing to do at the right time.

Best wishes,
Stu

Greetings from Werribee.

Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.

Metta,
Retro. :)
Through corruption of the Dhamma comes corruption of the discipline, and from corruption of the discipline comes corruption of the Dhamma. This is the first future danger as yet unarisen that will arise in the future. You should recognize it and make an effort to prevent it. (AN 5.79)

Thanks Retro, Chris and Kim. :)

Retro, I'm currently in Northcote, but planning to move to the foothills of the Dandenongs soon.

Chris, I think we met very briefly when Ed (Zavk) and I were staying at Dhammagiri in 2011.

Welcome!
To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas.

Nice. I was out that way just a couple of weekends ago with my ladyfriend to go on Puffing Billy.

I grew up in Wantirna South (near Knox City Shopping Centre) so I know the 'hood out that way pretty well.

Ah, so you know Ed too! Cool. :)
