I AM QUINN !

Post by Quinn »

Hello
My name is Quinn. I am eight years old and the son of Ben.
I have been a Buddhist for about two or three years when Dad first taught me meditation (anapana). :meditate:
Sometimes I might come on here and chat or learn something.

My other interests are archery: Image,

playing with my dogs, - here's 'Red' in bed with his soft toy tasmanian tiger:

and hanging out with my family. Here we all are at Cataract Gorge at Launceston on Dad's birthday:

so i'll see you soon!

Hi Quinn
Great to :quote: see :quote: you here!
But...you're sitting right next to me. What's going on?? :rolleye:
I hope you have some fun!

Welcome Quinn. I see, like your da, you do archery. Maybe you can get your pappy to buy you a Howard Hill bow.

:hello:

Hi Quinn!

Welcome to Dhamma Wheel!

My daughter is 12 years old and she regularly checks-in looking at the posts here at Dhamma Wheel too!

Archery is a great sport! I just need to put some more Zen (concentration) into my Zen-Archery and maybe I'll be as good as you and your Dad.

they're so cool but i've already have a compound bow. I use 'bare bow' technique to sight my bow. I recently got a certificate for scoring 180/160 on a target at 25 metres! I'm now shooting at 30 metres with Dad. :woohoo:
see ya!

Hi Quinn!
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Hello Quinn,

How lovely to 'see' you here. :woohoo:

I'm so glad you joined Dhamma Wheel even if you only post every now and then.

I suppose you groan whenever anyone mentions this song - but I like it!

The Mighty Quinn

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Everybody's building ships and boats
Some are building monuments, others are jotting down notes
Everybody's in despair, every girl and boy
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna jump for joy

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

I like to go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and makin' haste, just ain't my cup of meat
Everyone's beneath the trees, feedin' pigeons on a limb
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
All the pigeons gonna run to him

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Let me do what I wanna do, I can't decide 'em all
Just tell me where to put 'em and I'll tell you who to call
Nobody can get no sleep, there's someone on everyone's toes
But when Quinn the Eskimo gets here
Everybody's gonna wanna doze

Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Greetings Quinn,

Hi there - I hope you're doing well.

I remember how much fun it was watching you and Bennett play paper aeroplanes.

Bennett is happy right now collecting Mario Bros figurines and playing on people's Wiis when we visit them.

Metta,
Paul. :)
