Hello,
I would to take a short moment to introduce myself and express my interest in the Dhamma.
My name is Josh, I am 25 years old and currently live in Champaign Il with my girlfriend and our cat. My interest in Buddhism began around 2010 when I began sitting zazen with a local zen group. At that time I was living in Chicago. I moved to Champaign in 2012 and again connected with a local zen sitting group. My knowledge and practice of Buddhism at the time was exclusively zen related. So to make a long story short, I eventually discovered zen practice as such was not necessarily for me, and I began to explore other Buddhist traditions especially Theravada.
I still regularly sit with my local zen group and maintain good relations with the teacher and sangha members (in fact I am attending sesshin this fri-mon). However, at this time my practice has changed from koan to concentration ie mindfulness of breathing. I am grateful for the resources I have available to help me. Specifically, I have relied upon and enjoyed the dhamma talks and books available from wat metta. I look forward to the wealth of information offered here.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Of course my practice is difficult to summarize in 1 paragraph but I thought it best to keep this initial introduction relatively short. If any of you have any questions about me please feel free to ask.

Welcome to Dhamma Wheel!
Re: Introduction
Welcome!
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.
