My name is Mike(18) and i have been a general buddhist (curious) for about 2, maybe 3, years. Theravada, especially Modern Theravada (I call it Root Theravada... at least that's what I consider it) has recently caught my eye through the accesstoinsight website.
Prior to being an informal buddhist (haven't taken refuge) i was a Christian, which is also the reason I have not taken refuge since my family is strict catholic it is a little hard to come out openly at the moment. I am also a firm believer to not take something at face value so while I was mostly interested in Buddhism I have also looked into everything from Asatru to Zoastrianism and everything in between.
So yea... hey lol.
