Welcome friend

"But, Udāyi, let be the past, let be the future, I shall set you forth the Teaching: When there is this this is, with arising of this this arises; when there is not this this is not, with cessation of this this ceases." - Majjhima ii,32

BERRRRRRRP!
Tnk u.
BTW were you all aware that there is a chain of gourmet hotdog restaurants that calls itself Buddha Dog?
Nope, they ain't vegetarian either.
Putting Buddha out there to plug hot dogs, geez, I love my dead animal meals but even to me it seems like something ain't right there.
Kinda like having a Jesus Burger that specializes in roast pork burgers and blood sausage.

oh hai

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." -- C. S. Lewis

Hiya Jonesy. Yup there's lots of us Esangha refugees here atm.
I have to keep reminding myself I am a guest here and this is not a Mahayana board.
With Esangha down this place in some danger of being swamped by Mahayana doctrine.

Greetings Catmoon,
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)
