Hello from Newcastle, England

Postby ChangingMan » Mon Nov 16, 2009 9:56 am

Hi everyone, my name is Richard, and I live in the North East of England in Newcastle. I have been interested in Buddhism for a long time (15 years), and a casual attender at my local monastic community http://www.ratanagiri.org.uk(Ajahn Chah's Forest Tradition), though there never seems enough time to go as much as I would like. I am going through some big changes in life, having quit my job, and started a MSc to hopefully allow me to change careers completely. I also want to try and connect with Buddhism more and so I searched around for some online groups I could join up to and liked the look of this one. Once I find my feet in here (might just lurk for a bit) I hope to become an active member of the group, and warn you know, I can be quite verbose when I write - LOL!

Thank you for the intro and welcome. I hope you find Dhamma Wheel to your liking.

Rather, inquire into his knowledge of
that which is to be practised by us

Metta,

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)
