Wayfarer lives in Thailand since the 1970s. Wayfarer read Buddhism in college, studied with Khun Sujin briefly in the 1970s. Wayfarer practised in the Mahasi tradition for many years. Wayfarer is grateful for Dhamma Wheel. Wayfarer learns from his intellectual betters but will comment only rarely because his sandana is not erudite and the Buddhist ideas Wayfarer entertains are rather confused and muddled together. Mawkish thinks speaking in the third person is cool. Mawkish might adopt this style at work to see if it'll catch on. Mawkish welcomes wayfarer to dhammawheel too.

Interesting . Talking in the third person avoids to refer to an "I"...is it helpful to destroy the illusion?
It reminds me of how the Native Americans used to talk (in movies- no idea if that was authentic, though.)
An example:
"White Eagle Feather" welcomes "Running Bear". White eagle feather heard he doesn't speak with a split tongue. His words are gentle as the wings of the wild dove . May my new brother's path be always safe. May our fates be fulfilled."
I always liked that.
Annabel welcomes Wayfarer. May he be happy and free from suffering, and it's causes.

manapa feels this is catching like the flu, in flu season!
manapa things he may need to see a dentist as his tool is broken!
manapa also thinks that he has had enough and would like a way out, ASAP
