Hello from Canada

Postby Randolph1809 » Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:13 pm

Hi everyone,

My name is Randy. I've been casually reading about Tibetan Buddhism for a few years, now it seems I am more drawn towards Theravada.

I'm grateful to have found this site, I hope to use it to increase my practice and to contribute to the Sangha.

Nice to meet you everyone!

hi randy,
There is also Dharma Wheel our sister site if you are still interested in Mahayana and Tibetan Buddhism? Link bottom of the page in the middle.
Blog, Suttas, Aj Chah, Facebook.

He who knows only his own side of the case knows little of that. His reasons may be good, and no one may have been able to refute them.
But if he is equally unable to refute the reasons on the opposite side, if he does not so much as know what they are, he has no ground for preferring either opinion …
...
He must be able to hear them from persons who actually believe them … he must know them in their most plausible and persuasive form.

Welcome!

To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.
