Introduce yourself to others at Dhamma Wheel.

Greetings to everyone...
I'm from Belgium, practising vipassana meditation for some time. I'm more on the practise side, so I'd like to know more about theory.
See you soon!

Greetings Hoshin,
Welcome to Dhamma Wheel.
Congratulations on your decision to complement you meditation with Dhamma teachings... the two complement and re-inforce each other well.
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

Welcome Hoshin!
A good balance of theory and practice is always helpful.

Are you from Belgium?
I'm practising in the Dhamma Group. This association organise weekly evening sessions in Leuven, Brussels, Liège and Namur. There are also retreats with burmese monks from the Mahasi tradition.
You can visit
this page to learn more about it...
Bye!

Well, I live in Belgium. I don't speak French though.

Thanks. That is cool. Hadn't seen that yet. Won't be able to make it to the weekly session, but a retreat is possible.

Making retreats in the Dhamma group is like making retreat in Burma. Heat and wetness excepted

Sorry to be so late, but hello

Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.

If you see any unskillful speech (or other action) from me let me know, so I can learn from it.
