Someone mentioned once before that the default search engine that comes with this site is poor. On the other hand the Google Site Search is extremely powerful. I've had no trouble finding things posted months ago. It looks like the Google Site Search is set up to be added directly to web site. Adding it to DW could be useful:

In reading the scriptures, there are two kinds of mistakes:
One mistake is to cling to the literal text and miss the inner principles.
The second mistake is to recognize the principles but not apply them to your own mind, so that you waste time and just make them into causes of entanglement.

Google Saffron does this. See the box at the bottom of the home (index) page. It also searches through many other Theravada sites.

Greetings,
Very cool - I just installed the Google Chrome one and it's chipper!
Thanks.
Metta,

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)

Sorry for necromancing this thread, but I have a small thing to add:
You can type in every search query for google the following after your keywords: site:<the site>
This way you can search any site with google. This works for
top level domains too. Some examples:
dhamma site:.org to search for the word "dhamma" on pages that have the .org top level domain.
dhamma site:dhammawheel.com to search for the word "dhamma" on this site.

Suffering is asking from life what it can never give you.

If you see any unskillful speech (or other action) from me let me know, so I can learn from it.
