So that people can embed Youtube videos in forum posts. It's much easier to view... You don't have to open a new window.

I've never done it, but I've seen it work on other forums. Here's a description of how to do it:

I don't know if that will work or not...

It works on a phpBB board elsewhere, but not this same version... They use an older version of your software, so it will probably work on yours as well.

I did a search on their website and they have this code for a great variety of different video sites:

I've had a look and it involves the installation of a MOD and TheDhamma is the only person who can do that, so I'll have a chat to him and we'll see whether it's viable.

We added video functionality. To add a video like the one you see above, start with writing a new post. Click the "video" button on the far right hand side of the buttons (right of "Font colour"). Between the tags you can put the URL of the video. E.g.:
This feature will allow you to add videos from the following websites:

Youtube, googlevideo, dailymotion, metacafe. myspace, starsclips, yahoo, photobucket, filefront, veoh, vidilife, gametrailers, vidiac, gamespot, megavideo, vimeo, gamevideos, tu.tv, godtube. myvideo, collegehumor, comedycentral, slideshare, revver, sevenload, clipfish
