Alan's awesome beach photos

Mawkish has his music, Retro has his rockers. Can Alan have his own alliterative vanity post?
I'm working for the next few months on the gulf coast of Florida. Instead of hogging Anna's "Share photography here" post, I'm creating a new one. Feel free to criticize, condemn, or comment. Tonight:http://www.flickr.com/photos/49904366@N06/

Hey, where's that Buddha face from. Me likee!

It is generous of you to share your art with us so freely, actually.
So whatever comes up in the practice, you take note of it and let it pass. If it’s important, it’ll shift the ground under your feet. If it’s not, then why bother with it? Just let it go. Your one job is to stick with the basic steps of the practice.

You can't have it - the locals would protest rather violently, and it wouldn't fit in your house anyway.
But you *can* have two pics of it - here's mine: http://www.flickr.com/photos/50030099@N04/4593544510
(It's OK, Alan, I won't butt in again!)

Breathtaking!

I wanted to use one as my screen but it doesn't work. :weep:

Now I feel silly for calling attention to myself in such a manner. So I'm going to end the thread with this new one:

Well, the moral of the story
The moral of this song
Is simply that one should never be
Where one does not belong
So when you see your neighbor carryin’ somethin’
Help him with his load
And don’t go mistaking Paradise
For that home across the road

LOVE the colours!
As for calling attention to yourself, sharing your work for the pleasure of others is absolutely okay, but parading it to boost your ego is not good dhamma practice. We 'creative' types (I'm a musician) need to be aware of our motivation if we are not to run into mixed/unskilful practice, but that really is up to ourselves to decide since the audience generally don't know why we do what we do. Here and now I'm hearing encouragement from your audience so do keep going if you want to.
