Shadows in the Night. The new album of Sinatra covers by Bob Dylan.
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

Bobby C Sound TV - I WANNA NIRVANA
I'd call it electro house and it's much more mellow than most of it that comes out these days. Very nice. :)

Radiohead - Karma Police
I think the lyrics are about the criticism we so easily make of people who, in our opinion, mess up. They "talk in maths" and "pose like a threat". Or they have "Hitler hair dos". We are the "karma police" when we try to criticise people, especialy public figures, for actions we barely understand. And, inevitably, this attitude comes back to bite us. (Which is karma ;) ). When we actualy mess up we are as much confortable to excuse our behaviour.

So the video is about someone chasing a guy confortably in a car, at a safe distance (criticising). And then he fights back, lighting the fire on the gas we left behind during the chase (karma paytime!).

At least this is how I understand it.

Are there Pali mantras on iTunes or anywhere? I would love a Pali buddhist /Theravada alternative to Krisha Das--who I meditate with because I find the mantras soothing and beautiful.

Any Theravada alternatives available in high quality form?

Hi Govinda,

I don't play music or chanting when I'm meditating, - but I like to listen to this metta chant occasionally while I'm reading or writing my e-mails. (lyrics in Pali & English)
