Pad had an older cousin,Ravi, who was a Thai military ambassador in Karachi, his wife was a Miss Thailand second runner-up, very pretty even at her 40. Whenever Pad and I were in Karachi, Ravi/wife would take us shopping at the Empress Market or The Karachi Bazaar...lots of exotic merchandises..our favorite places and also the beaches.
One day Ravi/wife introduced us to his super rich friend 'Saeed'who owned almost all gas stations in the city and he had a beach house at the Turtle Beach. Saeed invited us to stay at his beach-villa, just like we had the beach to ourselves. we swam/floated all the afternoon (his floats had umbrellas attached), in the evening we rode on the beautifully decorated camels along the beach. Late at night, Ravi/wife/Saeed walked with Pad/me on the beach to look at sea-turtles'eggs, some already hatched and baby-turtles crawled to the sea..it was so amazing..wow..what a wonderful life !!

We were so excited that we were not sleepy at all. The full moon shone so brightly that we could see all kind of small crabs running around... we had to be very careful not to step on them. Luckily it was Friday night, ravi/Saeed had no need to work the next day. Saeed's great hospitality extended through Sunday...Pad had to fly to Rome on Monday and I had to prepare to fly on Tuesday. So the fun must end. Saeed took us back to our Intercontinental Hotel, Pad/I invited him to have gourmet dinner at a Chinese restaurant nearby...Saeed loved sweet/sour lobsters and Pomegranate-juice here was the best with lemmon twist. We thanked him profusely for his kindness. And I promised to bring him a beautiful silky blanket/silk pillow-cases, the next flight I came to Karachi again...Saeed, our generous friend, smiled happily.
