Can Happiness Be Inherited?http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/20 ... 101937.htmAn interesting study, at the link above... The idea is that hypothetically chemicals in the brain can influence how certain genes are expressed in sperm and eggs, which influences the traits of ones offspring.
Out of curiousity, is there any mention of this in Abhidhamma -- that the feelings and emotions of the parents bear an influence on the traits of the child?
