"Bakon Vodka"here:
http://www.kgw.com/lifestyle/stories/kg ... 3da0f.htmlCall it breakfast in a booze bottle. Bacon-flavored vodka is the all the rage in Seattle and sales are sizzling. At about $30 a bottle it's selling like hotcakes with a side of bacon-flavored vodka.
...
There is a real fanatical following for bacon products and bacon in general. People love bacon, says Black Rock Spirits sales director Stefan Schachtell.

With eggnog and a toast on the side?
Rain soddens what is kept wrapped up,
But never soddens what is open;
Uncover, then, what is concealed,
Lest it be soddened by the rain.

A bottle of pig flavored vodka and a jar of picked pig's feet would likely be a big hit in some southern parts of the U.S.

It would make an interesting base for a marinade.

Greetings Individual,
That reminded me of something I was asking someone the other day... is it possible to have bacon steak?
I know there's "ham steaks" but they're just processed ick. I wonder whether you can just have a steak-sized slab of bacon...

Retro.

Yes, you can, Retro. In Italy, it's referred to as Lombo, and normally comes from beef, or veal, but butchers are now producing it from pork also....
although it's usually not quite as tender.
