Its not Australia's first solar eclipse.
There have been many others.

Not a total eclipse where I live but we sure will notice it.
On the other hand, I start work at 8.00 so I won't have much :popcorn:

When you think about it, many many many others ... going all the way back to when Oz separated from Gondwanaland or something - say 200 000 000 years. At the rate of one every 20 years (wild guess to make the maths easy :tongue:

), that's ten million solar eclipses. Most of them wasted on dinosaurs.

I Looked outside too!..they said don't look its dangerous..but.. :tongue:

..i mean i didn't like look look directly at the sun but i could tell it was very huge..like the sun was very big..and then there was a slight cast..it would have been dark if it was total eclipse but since it was only partial..it's wasn't that dark..and the birds were pretty loud and they were still flying..i loved it i had a serene moment! :jumping:

I went up to Mt. Gravatt Lookout this morning at 6.30 a.m. with the Eclipse Glasses I had bought from Astro Pete's shop here in BrisVegas. There were people with HUGE telescopes, and one with some sort of equipment that put a 6 inch moonshadow on a white sheet on the ground of the eclipse. I could look straight at the Sun and clearly see it and the eclipse taking place. Lots of people borrowed the glasses - and a great time was had by all.
