Ben Gurion and his entourage also visited Burma in 1961 and attended a seminar on Buddhism by Sayagi U Ba Khin at IMC (Rangoon) Yangon.
I have a copy of the talk "The Real Values of True Buddhit Meditation"when I visited IMC two years ago but don't know whether its available online.

It's interesting that Ven Nyanaponika is usually referred to simply as German, [e.g. here], omitting the fact that he was Jewish (who, luckily, was able to leave early enough).

Ironically, he, along with Ven Nyanatiloka, was interred by the British in India during the second world war. The preface to Ven Nyanatiloka's Buddhist Dictionary lists "Central Internment Camp Dehra-Dun, India" as his address.
