Greetings,

An alternative is simply to remove people from your notifications and news feed.

That way you won't see any of their activity unless you go to their wall.

If the problem is them getting on your wall, you can create customised exclusions which Facebook remembers and applies to your next post.

There's many alternatives...

Metta,
Retro. :)

It also maybe the case that it is an application, and they don't realise (as I have done, and happens from time to time too me). just block the app. or change the settings to not show that app on your wall if it is one you use.

I cannot help but get annoyed at things like this... it's just a website. Back when the internet as the reserve of nerds, we learnt how to use it responsibly. We grew a thick skin and avoided the online dangers. Normal people viewed the internet as the domain of nerds. Since Facebook came along, absolutely everyone is online, updating their statuses whilst sitting in the toilet, interacting with their real life friends via this new medium. Unlike the nerds, these normal people don't seem to realise that it is just a website, and they don't have to use it.

Rant, complete with unfair and untrue generalisations.
