OBLONG, Ill. (Wires) -- Family and friends are mourning the death of a 23-year-old Oblong man following a May 23 chainsaw-juggling accident.
Luke Edward Brawley, known to his friends as "Lucky," was electrocuted when a severed power line fell on him as he was performing his unique act for family and friends during a gathering in his back yard.
Brawley, an unemployed hair stylist, had been building a career as a clown and had recently performed at a number of childrens' birthday parties.
"He was a great juggler, a nice guy. I can't believe it," said neighbor Amanda Robinson.
Robinson said she often would see Brawley practicing his act, juggling things like tennis balls, bowling pins and large paint cans.
"I think he started juggling chainsaws a few months ago, and he was getting pretty good at it," Robinson said. "He still had most of his fingers. But he never gave up. How many of us can say that?"
