Not written from a Buddhist perspective, the author doesn't go on to examine the question of identifying with the mind. But I thought it was provocative.

That guy needs to go do some yoga, and reconnect with his body.
The way he tells it, he's a brain, and the body is just a support structure.
It's a very one dimensional way of being in the world.

By saying this one might sound like trying to position him- or herself above the writer of the article, but here goes: the writer might benefit from trying to accept things as they are instead of trying to control them.
