Person with these symptoms, possibly normal?

Postby lojong1 » Sun Jun 30, 2013 3:05 am

Let's say a certain unknown someone's psychiatrist gave him the following labels:

major recurrent episodic depression and/or chronic dysthymia
post traumatic stress disorder
Social phobia
agoraphobia
schizoid personality disorder
reactive attachment disorder
severe obsessive compulive behaviour with avoidance and anxiety
asperger's syndrome

Would this patient likely be expected to keep up a more or less normal 9-5 work life because he has no significant employment barriers?

Let's just say that is an issue between the patient and the doctor.
The doctor is the only person who is qualified to determine whether the patient is well enough for work.
Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.

Taṃ nadīhi vijānātha:
sobbhesu padaresu ca,
saṇantā yanti kusobbhā,
tuṇhīyanti mahodadhī.
