Superdaughter Lifts 5,600-Pound Jeep off Dad

"Cases of people finding super-human, or 'hysterical' strength in times of panic have been documented..."

Could this be "samadhi-bala"(the strength of concentration)?

"He, the Blessed One, is indeed the Noble Lord, the Perfectly Enlightened One;
He is impeccable in conduct and understanding, the Serene One, the Knower of the Worlds;
He trains perfectly those who wish to be trained; he is Teacher of gods and men; he is Awake and Holy. "

"The Dhamma is well-expounded by the Blessed One,
Apparent here and now, timeless, encouraging investigation,
Leading to liberation, to be experienced individually by the wise. "

According to the Pali Cannon...

The Five Strengths (bala)

The strength of conviction (saddha-bala).
The strength of persistence (viriya-bala).
The strength of mindfulness (sati-bala).
The strength of concentration (samadhi-bala).
The strength of discernment (panna-bala).

I think its more useful to refer to science instead of the dhamma to explain things like this.

I think this was on TV somewhere: When lifting a car to get someone from underneath it, you just need to lift one wheel - one quarter of the weight or even less (depending on which wheel). Probably the wheel doesn't even have to leave the ground to create enough room. So also, the suspension helps. And it is just momentarily, not a constant lift. So it is physically possible and I guess the adrenaline rush does more than 'samadhi power'.
