As the title says, what is "truth" and what is"good"?
What is "truth" and "good"?
What is "truth" and "good"?
“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Conventional or unconventional?

Also, MN140 The Analysis of the Properties has this:
"His release, being founded on truth, does not fluctuate, for whatever is deceptive is false; Unbinding — the undeceptive — is true. Thus a monk so endowed is endowed with the highest determination for truth, for this — Unbinding, the undeceptive — is the highest noble truth.

The deceptive is false, the undeceptive is true.

But what does truth mean?
“Knowing that this body is just like foam,
understanding it has the nature of a mirage,
cutting off Māra’s flower-tipped arrows,
one should go beyond the King of Death’s sight.”

Re: What is "truth" and "good"?
I guess "truth" means "the portion of the body of experience which is not deceptive."

Conventional sense:clw_uk wrote:SarathW wrote:Conventional or unconventional?

Anything wholesome to you and others is good. Truth is the dependent origination. (four noble truths, karma, rebirth, Nirvana etc)
Unconventional sense:
Unconditioned is the truth and good. (From the vantage point of conventional sense)
“As the lamp consumes oil, the path realises Nibbana”

“Look on the world as empty, Mogharāja, being always mindful.
Having removed wrong view of self, in this way one will cross beyond Death.
When looking on the world in this way the king of Death does not see one.” - Sn 5.15
