Going to school and having lived in Oakland, I see homeless people almost every day. Many live in the open air or under freeway overpasses. Some have makeshift hovels made of garbage and plastic. I see a lot of homeless with shopping carts filled above the brim with massive amounts of stuff and recyclables they collect from trashcans. There's tons of trash on the streets in some neighborhoods. People throw out their mattresses or junk on the freeway. And this is in a first-world country. I can't imagine what it's like in the third world.
This guy is doing everyone a public service by cleaning up the streets and providing shelter for people.
