I am a rock

Just relistened after years that simon and garfunkel song and just realised how awesome these lyrics are :candle:

Get the wanting out of waiting

What does womanhood matter at all, when the mind is concentrated well, when knowledge flows on steadily as one sees correctly into Dhamma. One to whom it might occur, ‘I am a woman’ or ‘I am a man’ or ‘I’m anything at all’ is fit for Mara to address. – SN 5.2

Cool song!
"If beings knew, as I know, the results of giving & sharing, they would not eat without having given, nor would the stain of miserliness overcome their minds. Even if it were their last bite, their last mouthful, they would not eat without having shared."

Just FYI in case you didn't know, we have a music thread here.

But thanks for the post. S & G have some great songs.

BTW, I suggest that the music thread be stickied. It's much more popular than the movie thread which has been long stickied.

Peace,

Hi all,

Sometime after my wife and I were married this song came out and my wife would always say: "That's just like you, a rock."

Uncommunicative should have  been my middle name. I can now laugh about it (heh).

EDIT: removed extra "my" from between "out" and "and" in the first line above.
