German speaking Dhamma Friends

Postby Sokehi » Thu Jun 19, 2014 8:41 pm

sadly the family who wanted to take care of my Kittens stepped back from it. I'm going to leave my household end of august to ordain. Now everything is happening with a bit of time pressure. Please could you be so freundlich and have a look at this advertisement I've just pinned at tieranzeigen.at. Maybe you'd like to take them to you or know anyone who might be a good Katzenvater or Katzenmutter?

edit: found someone, thank you very much :)

Get the wanting out of waiting

What does womanhood matter at all, when the mind is concentrated well, when knowledge flows on steadily as one sees correctly into Dhamma. One to whom it might occur, ‘I am a woman’ or ‘I am a man’ or ‘I’m anything at all’ is fit for Mara to address. – SN 5.2

Thank you for "Upping" Walkart :)

I'm very happy that I've found a seemingly very reliable and caring couple with a rather huge house and garden. I guess "my" cat sibblings will have a great Life there, greater than I could have ever granted to them.

May I highjack this thread for another information that might be of interest for all german speaking dhamma friends?

Tomorrow 27.07.2014, 4:30 pm german local time there will be a rerun of a documentary at the Deutschlandfunk radio station dedicated to the newest findings in neuroscience and the inclinations to philosophy. Sadly it seems no one noticed that the Buddha himself stated quite some years earlier that something like a solid identity is nowhere to be found ;)

:namaste: Congratulations on your coming ordination. Just curious, but which monastery would you be joining?

Thank you friend Pilgrim :anjali:

well that's still a rather long way still to go until then ;) but I'll be living in one of the Forest Sangha monasteries in England (I'd like to keep it a bit vague here) and then it will be seen if I'll be suitable to go forth eventually or not :anjali:

So happy you found a safe and reliable home for your kittens.

Wishing you the very best on your residency at the monastery and on your eventual going forth! Very inspiring!

Kind wishes,
Sea Turtle
