You're not going to believe this, but here it is anyway:
I was looking all through Bhante Dhammanando's old posts at e-sangha today, looking for a post he made over a year ago about an English politician who is a member of the House of Lords and is a Buddhist. I finally found it and then made a Dhamma Wiki article about him. And then as I gathered the info about him to make the article, I noticed today is his birthday!
Holy cow, just a coincidence I guess or he was contacting me in some voodoo way.

Happy birthday to Eric!
I hope he is an inspiration to Buddhists in the west to aspire for public office.

Happy birthday Eric,
May you become a Wheel-turning Monarch!
Metta,
Retro.

If you have asked me of the origination of unease, then I shall explain it to you in accordance with my understanding:
Whatever various forms of unease there are in the world, They originate founded in encumbering accumulation. (Pārāyanavagga)'We should not congratulate someone on the success of their misdeeds, but on the contrary should endeavour to advise him or her to lead a more skilful and wholesome life. If such advice is ignored then we can only give up and let go' - Phra PanyapatipoDharma Wheel (Mahayana / Vajrayana forum)
