Four types of letting go:

1) Giving; expecting nothing back in return
2) Throwing things away
3) Contentment; wanting to be here, not wanting to be anywhere else
4) "Teflon Mind"; having a mind which doesn't accumulate things

Hmmm..... I am almost tempted to rewind to before my sad blunder at the 8th move. But probably best leave it RIP.

OK then - you are white!

No "crazy gambits" this time for you (I hope). Slow and steady wins the race, Dan...

Good luck, Guy!

At first glance my instinct is to play Qxa1 and trade the rook for the knight, winning materially. I think Qxe5 could be stronger for two reasons:-
1) it keeps the queen in the center where she is the most useful
2) white must be careful to avoid the discovered check from black's queen next turn (ie. if black move's his knight out of the way, giving check and generating threats with the knight simultaneously)

Not sure what white's best response is though to Qxe5 but he doesn't have very much to work with at this stage.
