It was great but very, very intense. When I had to attend the hall 6pm -9pm I was in 'the hot seat' right in front of the Dhamma Seat. The rest of the time I was in my meditation cell in the pagoda.
When you and if you are there early, say hello to Sally who will be serving on your course. She's a chinese girl from HK and she'll be returning to help set up the Chinese Vipassana Centre sometime early in 2010. Blackheath is looking beautiful at the moment. Your course is fully booked so its up around 200-300 meditators.
Have a wonderful course being5! I'll be thinking of you!
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road
Learn this from the waters:

loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
