What did the buddhist monk say to the hotdog vendor? Make me ONE with everything.

:anjali:
The heart of the path is SO simple. No need for long explanations. Give up clinging to love and hate, just rest with things as they are. That is all I do in my own practice. Do not try to become anything. Do not make yourself into anything. Do not be a meditator. Do not become enlightened. When you sit, let it be. When you walk, let it be. Grasp at nothing. Resist nothing. Of course, there are dozens of meditation techniques to develop samadhi and many kinds of vipassana. But it all comes back to this - just let it all be. Step over here where it is cool, out of the battle. - Ajahn Chah

It wasn't a Theravadin monk.

Maybe it was a divergent Theravadin monk?

It likely was one who got lost in the jhanas.

Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused his dentist's Novocain during root canal work?

He wanted to transcend dental medication.

The monk got his hotdog. He only had a large bill, so he handed it over, waiting for his change.

"Where's my change?" he asked after a while, and got the reply:

"Change must come from within."

The Buddha of course once expounded on the story of the blind men and the elephant. Each man of course, feeling the elephant, disagreed about what the characteristics of the elephant were.

But did you hear the story of the man and the three blind elephants? All three elaphants, upon feeling the man, agreed - man is flat.

Also, he had no couch high enough to vacuum under. As far as I can remember, the Vinaya forbids the use of high beds and couches.
