Something that made me laugh

So true! Who said this?

To study is to know the texts,
To practice is to know your defilements,
To attain the goal is to know and let go.

I'll stick to blaming my parents, although I may include friends parents or the parents of others as the need arises :) :juggling:
“Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.
(The mendicants asked) What are the two [types of persons]?
(The Lord Buddha responded) The malicious, or the inwardly angry, and the one with (blind) faith or the one who holds things incorrectly.
Mendicants, these two [types of persons] defame the Tathāgata.”

"Others will misconstrue reality based on personal perspectives, firmly holding onto and not easily discarding them; We shall not misconstrue reality due to our personal perspectives, nor firmly holding them, but easily discarded."

Ogden Nash;

That's what parents were invented for."

Parental advice:
"Having children is hereditary:
if your parents never had kids, chances are you won't either."

That one kills me.....!!

I am sooooo happy - How on earth could I be otherwise?! :D

Insanity is hereditary - parents catch it from their kids.

We believe we know more than our parents
And our kids think they know more than us.

The Danish poet Kumbel (Piet Hein):

kan opdrages
til at forstaa.
Men saa
skal man ogsaa
ha haft dem fra smaa.

can be trained
to understand.
But only if
you have them
from their earliest years.
