Advice/Ideas

Postby plwk » Mon Mar 22, 2010 2:35 pm

Seeking advice/ideas for the scenario below on how to facilitate a group discussion:

Topic: Dukkha
Style: Adult Group Interactive Discussion
Audience: Senior citizens and working adults (both Buddhists and non-Buddhists)
Maturity of the group: Ranging from 'no idea', 'I've heard it 100 times before' & 'short attention span'

Advice/Ideas? :namaste:
Bhikkhus, if you develop and make much this one thing,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.
What is it? It is recollecting the Enlightened One.
If this single thing is recollected and made much,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.

That is how, monks, some lag behind … (It. p 43)”
