Ah yes, in my country, we had a nationwide shutdown of electricity (where possible and by choice) from 8:30pm-9:30pm, so at the temple where I attended, they had a Buddha Name recitation session via an candlelight open air procession in the nearby vicinity and then half an hour silent sitting in the dark shrine hall, no air-conditioning and open windows and ended with short chanting in the lit candlelight before they switched on back the lights and air-cond...as I was in my full robes, you can imagine the sweating
Bhikkhus, if you develop and make much this one thing,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.
What is it? It is recollecting the Enlightened One.
If this single thing is recollected and made much,
it invariably leads to weariness, cessation, appeasement, realization and extinction.
