Calendar Competition 2011

Post by Bhikkhu Pesala »

Its that time of year again, and I need some fresh images for next year's calendar. If you have some suitable photos of Burmese Pagodas etc., enter them for my Calendar Competition and win some software.

I would be happy to contribute, Ven Peasala, but I have never visited Burma
How close does 'etc' have to be? I have some from Angkor, e.g. http://www.flickr.com/photos/50030099@N04/4605287285/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and I know the border has changed a few times over the last thousand years ...

There are Burmese temples in Lampang and Chiengmai. Probably a few in Australia too. You could always fly to Singapore and do the 14 day retreat with Chanmyay Sayādaw — that would be a good source of photos of meditators, Burmese monks and nuns, Burmese images etc.
